Best Defence RCWS Product Family

We meet the needs of the armed forces and security forces for remotely controlled weapon systems (RCWS) with our Best Defence RCWS product family, developed specifically for this purpose.

This family includes solutions manufactured entirely by Best Defence, from software to all mechanical parts, optical systems to coatings, which can be equipped with different weapons ranging from 5.56 mm to 30 mm caliber.

Some of these systems, all of which have been qualified and turned into products, have successfully entered the inventories of various end users. Currently, there are numerous RWS systems actively deployed on different types of armored vehicles and on fixed installations belonging to these users.

Extensive Product Range

The members of the RCWS product family are currently listed as follows.

Custom Solutions for Customers

We can develop weapon systems specifically for our customers who request them, designed exclusively for use in their vehicles. The various products we develop in this way are deployed on vehicles delivered to different end users by armored land vehicle manufacturers. Thanks to our high level of engineering and integration capabilities and the fact that we handle everything under one roof in the RCWS field, we can respond very quickly to users' changing requirements.

One of the unique services we offer our customers with the RCWS product family is our user-specific artificial intelligence development service. As part of this service, we can train RCWS existing artificial intelligence using real conflict video footage provided by our users and deliver a user-specific solution.

Leaving Its Competitors Behind

We demonstrated our engineering capabilities throughout all stages of the development process for our RCWS systems. As a result, we created a product family that outperforms similar products worldwide with its superior features. These features and the advantages they offer users can be summarized as follows:

Automatic Target Recognition

Thanks to this AI-powered feature, if an object or person designated as a target in a specific area temporarily disappears from view and then reappears, the RCWS can detect that the object or person is the target and lock onto it again. The system can also distinguish between humans, animals, and vehicles.

Touch Screens

Users can lock onto their desired target very quickly with a single finger movement and just by touching the screen, thanks to touchscreens.

Compatible with Different Weapons

The RCWS product family is compatible with weapons from all types of schools.

Lightness

Our towers are much lighter than those of our competitors. While it varies from model to model, some of our products are 30% lighter than their equivalents.

Automatic Target Tracking

This feature, which we have implemented thanks to artificial intelligence, enables the RCWS to track locked targets. This significantly reduces the burden on the operator.

High Sensitivity

Due to the low tolerances we apply during high production, the RCWS has very high firing accuracy. Thanks to this feature, the RCWS can hit drone-sized targets in just 4-5 shots, even with standard machine guns.

High Stabilization

Our weapon systems, which are stabilized on both axes, perform this function much more effectively than their competitors. This means that even if the vehicles they are integrated into perform sharp maneuvers, they do not lose their target.
The following capabilities and subsystems are standard features in the Best Defence RCWS product family:

Our RCWS systems have outperformed their competitors countless times in the tests they have participated in so far. Moreover, the RCWS has been tested under much more challenging conditions in many cases. All of these tests were conducted by end users.

In a comparative test, our RCWS system integrated onto the vehicle fired at a moving target from a moving vehicle. The competitor product fired at a target moving at a constant speed on a rail system from a slower-moving vehicle.
At the end of the test, our RCWS system, firing at a variable-speed target moving independently on two axes from a vehicle traveling at high speeds, achieved a higher hit percentage.
